Just finished three by Linnea Sinclair. OMG! The first one I had trouble slowing down until I knew I could jump right into the second one. The second one I had trouble starting a bit because I was sick, but once I felt better, it was over just like that. So I started in on the third one. It was read in 2 days. And these aren't small books. They have WORDS.

New Show Review: Bionic Woman

Well, I had a vested interest in this update, since I grew up with the originals. In fact, COL Steve Austin was my first intended fiance. So I Tivo’d, then I watched as soon as I could.

The characters have been updated to reflect today’s American culture, and have their own conflicts. Jamie has to take care of a younger teenage sister, obviously not without some conflicts. And there’s this guy, a genius professor.

Then the car accident, and “THE CHANGE”. And yes, I jumped at the car accident. Hollywood’s getting good at these surprise things. It was scary.

The bad guys are a mix of stereotypes and updates. I liked Mark Sheppard as the bad father (and inventor of the technology) of the genius professor. But then, I’ve liked Mark since SOF.

They set up Jamie as a reluctant operative, which is interesting, and similar to the original, either dropping or replacing the memory loss story line all together.

Pilot Pronouncement – it will go on the TIVO list.

Movie Review: Eraser

Last night I watched Eraser for the umpteenth time. I hadn't seen it in awhile, and I needed to burn off some caffeine, so I knitted (real simple knit every stitch - 45 stitch rows), and watched.

Arnold did some acting, and James Caan was James Caan as a fed. The plot was interesting enough, and the action scenes were well-executed and believable within context. Vanessa Williams did a good job pretending to be an executive, but they didn't put too much opportunity for real emotion for her character in the script. And Robert Pastorelli - well, you just gotta watch. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of romantic storyline. But hey, that's just me.

Trivia alert - can you spot the president's son? He was also in Transformers.

Bottom Line - if you like action flicks, this is one of the better ones. Arnold, a believable and cohesive plot, good rest of cast, well executed. I own this on tape, but I expect I'll purchase it on DVD when I get around to it.

Recommended To Do Site: ToodleDo. Easy Peasy(tm) set up, integration. No Hierarchies, but who cares? Inline editing is GREAT. They have an API which the geek me will check out soon. I like this much better than any of the other online list management apps.
